April 23 is the day of our 2016 Spring Open Studio and Art Sale.
This will be our only group Open Studios this year. This is a great opportunity to not just come and see my work but you can also visit my artist neighbors in their own work space and get to know them too.
Five artists will open their doors. I am planning to show you some of my most recent work from the portrait lab, paintings from my trip to Guatemala, and a commemorative exhibit to highlight hurricane Katrina’s 10th anniversary. And a couple of other goodies for my visitors.
Joining me will be my studio neighbor Janis Edel. Janis is a great portrait and landscape artist. One of her portraits graces our invitation. Shirley Lavine will join us for the second time. You can see her colorful cityscape on our invitation as well. Caroline Ratliff is a recognized landscape and portrait artist. Her beautiful oil and pastel work is simply amazing. Bruce Williamson is one of my former instructors (I could join his class anytime once again) and art neighbor. Bruce’s work is impressive. His impressionist touch is masterful with light and shadow. He will have landscapes, still life and portraits on exhibit.
The studios will open from 2pm to 8pm.
